>> reporter: good morning. in two hours when that search starts with they will not be justing a cadaver dog, police say it is a waste of the dog's time and it is a waste of the searcher's time because the area is simply too large. frederick salas has been missouri since august 26th. police believe he has been in the landfill for most of that time. >> they may have found a piece of letterhead that had a hercules address but that is about it. >> reporter: police marked off an acre inside the landfill and are using a backhoe to dig through tons of garbage. they are looking for a body and not a survivor. police say he was brought here by garbage collectors. police say they know who is sponge, the same man who murdered four other people, he

stole or borrowed a cadillac, used it to put his body in a dumpster at a business park, where he used to work. police say he was spotted at a home. the home was owned by his girlfriend. but salas and another man rented rooms from that owner. police say he was jealous of tran living with three other man and that is the motive for her strangulation death, the bludgeoning death and the disappearance. hes also dead, police shot him, killed him last monday night following a high speed chase. police say he strangled her during the chase. police believe he is connected with or responsible for the

deaths of two other women. last week their bodies were found on his property. he stayed there for the last 10 years. now we are going to be trying to call the other person in that home, the brother of one, the son of another, now dead. >> last night friends and family members gathered to remember the four victims of that deadly rampage. [ singing ] >> bought 100 people gathered at market hall. the grieving family members of his girlfriend re among those attending the memorial. a family friend read an emotional statement written by her son. >> we truly love our mom with all our hearts and we know she is looking over us at this very

moment. >> last night the vigil included one controversial decision, mourners lit one candle for the accused killer, organizers say their goal is to promote peace and understanding, not to judge the actions of others. >> 6:04. we have got breaking news now. concord police just found a missing wheelchair bound woman who is paralyzed from the beast down. amanda sloane called the police yesterday. she said she fell out of her wheelchair and needed immediate help. volunteers were searching the area for several hours and were not able to find her but claudine wong now tells us authorities have now found her. she will have all the details coming up at 6:30. also the chp wants to knowy a teenage girl jumped out of a moving car on a freeway.

investigators think she may have jumped out after an argument with her boyfriend. the girl was treated for minor injuries then released to her parents. her boyfriend is in jail this morning, he is facing charges of resisting arrest. >> some homeless people say a mcdonalds is trying to get rid of them by eliminating its dollar menu. jade hernandez joins us now from san francisco with more on the story. >> reporter: good morning. a buck used to go a long way at mcdonalds. it used to get you a god size mcdouble. not anymore. we are live at this mock donald's in the height ashbury neighborhood, the only mcdonalds which has done away with its dollar menu. the sign says no trespassing, no lightering and a 30 minute time limit while consuming food, all rules could curb problems this particular mcdonalds has had with the homeless outside its doors, the chronicle reports this morning the franchise owner of this

mcdonalds took away the menu about a month ago, homeless people are upset saying it was pulled to get them to go elsewhere. the difference in price is a couple of quarters. the article states that the franchise owner says she doesn't offer the dollar menu anymore based on a number of factors, none of which have anything to do with the homeless but for now customers, whether they are homeless or not, won't have a choice, if they want a dollar menu they will have to go somewhere else and skip the mcdonalds right here n san francisco. reporting live, jade hernandez, ktvu channel 2 news. >> a livermore father is in jail this morning on suspicion of stabbing his 14-year-old son 11 times. it all happened yesterday when 48-year-old gary gomez took his wife, his son and his son's friends fishing. gomez became angry when one of the friends said he had to go home. investigators say when his son

interfered gomez stabbed the boy 11 times with a fishing knife. the wife was also stabbed once in the hand. none of the injuries are life- threatening. san francisco police are investigating the cause of a deadly crash that killed two young men and injured three others. the victims, 19-year-old robbie mccam and 20-year-old nick saturday meanto of daily city were graduateds of ocean anna high school. former classmates gathered at the site yesterday. they brought flowers and shared memories. >> it is heartbreaking for all of us. they were talking about in the car how all of us are together you know -- [ inaudible ] >> -- graduated. >> police say they were riding in a honda late saturday night. for some unknown reason it turned perpendicular to traffic, that is when another car carrying three people crashed into the side of the honda. the three victims in the toy

now they are, amanda sloane actually still underneath the overpass right now, she is with a couple of other people, she is fine, she has refused both medical treatment and help and you will hear from her on coming up on mornings on 2. >> police are searching for a gunman who shot and killed a man in a backyard. the body of the victim was found at a home yesterday. now we don't know the victim's name yet, police are describing the suspect as a african man in his 20s last seen getting into a white or silver compact car. this is the 11th homicide of the year in vallejo. in the park a suspected drunk drive is in jail this morning accused of crashing into a police vehicle. now, this happened yesterday when the driver, 27-year-old joshua hicks skidded across the
